land, to provide a wonderus place for visitors.
Available are Tent or RV Camping areas, and Rentable Furnished Rooms or
"Cabin-ettes".

Community is located in a rural neighborhood, on a desert bluff, surrounded
by mountains and canyons. We welcome adults (18 and older) from all walks of
life. We are LGBTQIA inclusive
honoring all visitors. Most of the property is
clothing-optional. Starland IS
Rustic, Quiet, Relaxing, and naturally has splendid Mojave Desert views in
nearly all directions.
Our facilities are available for group and
individual retreats,
workshops, or other events.
Volunteers
Starland Community is a home for its residents, and a quiet
retreat for members and guests. As a private not-for-profit organization, Starland Community's
residents and other volunteers serve as the keepers of the land, and
hosts to its members. Our funding comes from member dues, fees for overnight accommodations,
resident rents, and donations.
Climate
Starland Community is located in California's Mojave Desert,
at 3500 ft. above sea level. We have four distinct seasons at Starland
Community. Average temperatures (F): January: High-50; Low-30;April: High-80; Low-50; July:
High-95+; Low-70; October: High-80; Low-50. Winters are often quite windy and
cold, sometimes a trace of snow falls; Spring and Fall are the best
times to visit, with balmy warm temperatures, few rain
storms, and calm air. Summers can be hot, windy, and dry. Generally, be
prepared for changes in weather whichever the season.
Membership and Dues
We require every person in your party to sign up for
Membership. This process is simple, and is done
upon arrival. The basic Bright
Star Membership is $10 per person, and is good through Dec. 31, any year.
A Shining Star Membership, at $60 per
person, offers a Shining Star
Member two nights, twice, during the term of membership, for two
people! Further
details are available upon request. For the Members who have been active
with Starland
Community for at least one year, we offer the Shooting Star Lifetime
Membership, $1,000 per person. No more annual dues renewals, and several exciting
perks come with this membership. Ask us
for more details.
Where is Starland Community?
Starland Community is located 10 miles from Yucca Valley,
California, and is 45 miles north of Palm Springs, CA, 130 miles from
either San Diego or Los Angeles, CA, 480 miles from San Francisco, CA, 240 miles from Las Vegas, NV, and 220 miles from Phoenix,
AZ. The Joshua Tree National Park is only 25 miles from Starland, and the USMC-29 Palms base is 30 miles away.
What We Offer Individual Adult "Open
Camping" We offer our RV sites, with or without full utilities; Two cabins
and one Guest Room; and many level, shaded, soft-sand sites for tent
camping. Our Open Camping capacity is 30 individuals at one time.
Individuals and small private groups are reminded to bring adequate water,
food, and other provisions. Our outdoor tables and grills, found on the
Common House Patio, are available to all visitors. Make your reservation

Group Meetings and Gatherings, Our Main Hall and our dining facility have a
capacity for up to 30 people. Advance reservations are
requested. Exclusive or non-exclusive use of the property is possible. No
matter what the purpose is, or what your group's identity is, we welcome
you. We welcome LGBTgroups, Naturists, Diverse-identity, and any group that
seeks a safe and quiet location for its gathering. Check in with us
