pics and comments by Lobo, unless otherwise noted

Some "new" Los Angeles fAERIES wanted to explore and experience Starland so they took the option to "call" a Work & Play Weekend. This earned them a complimentary Basic Starland Membership and a free stay for the weekend. They arrived Friday afternoon ready to help out. On the same weekend we had other visitors too. One (David) who found us via a gay campsite internet listing. Hollis, long-time enthusiast, and another cohort of Lobo's also came up during the weekend.

General landscape cleanup, "old items" recycling, and of course Lobo's Shed were some of the points of focus for this weekend. The faeries surprised us and were extremely dedicated and helpful in many ways.

Lobo thanks the faeries for their help on the shed. We would also like to thank TailFeather -one of two new residents at Starland, for helping to install and successfully making operational a new large hot tub. Lobo also thanks Hollis for his help in purchasing almost $500 in new material to complete the shed -Lobos owes Hollis.

Saturday Night
After working in the Saturday sun, a high of 102°, the guys "chill," some naked," around a portable fire-pit after eating a home-cooked meal of baked chicken, steak, veggies, and salad.

That's me. Just having a sit with the boys under that fabulous Palo Verde tree after a busy weekend.

The Palo Verde Tree -pic by David
This is the Palo Verde tree that TailFeather placed the new hot tub under. He also trimmed the tree, cleaned and cleared all the tiered garden areas around the tree.. He is also currently working on the irrigation system and has a "budding" vegetable and herb garden happening on the upper tier. Pay no attention to the "old" hot tub at the lower left of this picture.

LOBO'S SHED -again
"Mariner" and "Pan" nail in some horizontal braces between vertical studs for strength. The exterior panels are also being installed finally.

Panels are finally being installed

We mounted the end panels too high. After this picture was taken, we took them down and re-attached them to the same level as the side panels... my bad.

Osiris -using the saw, finally up form an early morning Saturday nap, rips the last panel piece for the "long" side of the shed.

The panel will fit at left completing the first level for this wall.

Mariner -with tail, installed the last piece.
