Jeff and Raol came to Beltane in May from Coldwater Canyon. Jeff creates these statues, made of found materials, for himself and for friends.

Statement of Purpose:
Anyone who brings an open mind and an open heart is welcome with us and that sexuality, gender, race, religion, etc. are non-issues.
Starland is in the Mojave Desert area; our exact address is not posted on this website. We welcome adults, 21 and older, to enjoy Starland, a very small rustic rural campground and communal living space. Starland’s goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment for meeting others: learning through seminars and scheduled events, about one’s self and new skills for life enhancement; and to learn about the nature of the desert. Also to explore spirituality in his or hers own way.
Starland provides a retreat from city living, and encourages unstructured recreational fun and simple creative activities as an alternative to typical recreation in most urban areas.

A little about Starland
Starland’s visitors and Members come from a wide variety of backgrounds, ages, nationalities, and sexual orientations. While most of our events are geared towards men, women are welcome to join in for many of Starland’s events.
Starland’s goal is to provide a non-judgmental approach to meeting and teaching others, and to encourage the development of long-term friendships.

Guests have enjoyed Starland for intimate weekend get-togethers of many kinds, from just "hanging out" to intentionally facilitated gatherings. Many members of our community regularly gather and invite friends to join them at Starland and also serendipitously meet new friends. You're invited too!

Maybe you just want to get away from the city and have a comfortable place to stay close to quiet desert country, but close to "civilized" amenities.

At Starland you can cook your own food, play parlor games, or create your own events, and more! There's lots of beautiful desert to hike around in. The terrain varies from sandy to rocky slopes with lots of interesting trails.

The Starland Facility is available at an extremely affordable price. The accommodations are rustic but amenable. Use the indoor accommodations or "Easy Camping" outdoors for staying overnight.

Starland is a rustic mini-camp based around a semi-private residential house. There is also a "community" of enthusiasts who help to facilitate the on-going maintenance of the house, Main Hall, Cabins facilities, the land, its other amenities, and the actual community of friends itself.

Starland is a work in progress, so it's not perfect.
Everyone involved in Starland works hard to continually maintain, upgrade, and try to create a clean, safe, and esthetic environment. We are inviting a community of friends to help up us. None of us are rich folks, so only through the help of donations, volunteer work, minimal fees, and just plain friendship do we manage to create a community.
